5 Truths From Acts 5

Acts chapter 5 reveals powerful truths about the nature of God and the life of the early church. Through the account of Ananias and Sapphira, we see that God takes holiness and integrity seriously, acting to protect the purity and reputation of His church. As the gospel advanced, the church experienced both unity and growth within and resistance from the religious leaders outside. Though the message of Jesus offended many and led to imprisonment and persecution, the apostles boldly declared their commitment to obey God rather than men. Even when fear threatened to influence decisions, God’s purposes proved unstoppable. In the end, the believers rejoiced in every opportunity to suffer for Christ, continuing to teach and proclaim Jesus daily—reminding us that faithfulness often requires courage, obedience, and unwavering trust in God.
